There is an increasing need, from the emergency services in the UK and elsewhere to be able to effectively use inflatable boats on slow and fast moving flood water where it is not possible to wade. To this end Rescue 3 Europe has developed a new 2 day course for existing SRT trained personal to expand their skill base in the area of inflatable paddleboat handing.

Certified by Rescue 3 International.

Course duration: 2 Days

Participants need to be at least Swiftwater Rescue Technician Trained.

Minimum age 18

Course Aims:

This practical course will teach trained swiftwater rescue technicians how to paddle their boats across rivers to carry out rescues, as well as paddling downstream to quickly and effectively search flooded waterways. How to pull people into a boat and how to re-flip an upturned boat will also be practiced.

This course is run on Grade 2 or 3 whitewater rivers and is not designed to be a raft guide course.

Personal Equipment required:

Personal equipment hire is not included in the course fee.

Rescue equipment such as: Throwbag, Karabiners, Pulleys, Slings etc. are available from us to test and are also available to buy in our shop.

Personal Equipment can be hired from us for a small charge when booked in advance.
